Not a doubter. Just nauseous.
Joe–do you think she thinks the other Republicans won’t come after her in a primary?? Do YOU think they’ll go after her in a primary?? Surely the other camps have the same opposition research that the bloggers have, right?? Do you happen to know what kind of stuff they’ve got on her? (you don’t have to tell what, I’ll wait for your book–but is it more than the bloggers have on her currently??)
Is she delusional enough to think that just showing up & being Queen Esther is going to keep the Republican machine (that has wanted her to sit down and shut up for some time now, i.e., your friend Roger Ailes) from pulling out all the stops on her??? Do you think she’s planning to use the “you can’t call me stupid or it puts you all in question for backing me last time” strategy??
I think somebody’s going to be asked to take one for the team & shut her down. Just don’t know who. What do you think?
When is Fox going to terminate her contract since there are obvious indications that she will run?

Is this the same New York Times who in 2004 sat on the story of then President Bush illegally wiretapping our communications? Is this the same New York Times who employed Judith Miller who was duped by members of then Vice President’s Cheney’s staff to report things that were not true just so Cheney could go on Meet the Press and say it was in the New York Times?
I could go on and on, but I won’t. A pox on the New York Times; I have no use for that newspaper.

Joe, can you frame Palin’s “Lonesome Rhodes” shtick in a universe apart from Ailes’ fear machine?
Can you say we exaggerate in pointing out the extremes of Fox News propaganda, yet turn around and call Palin out as a propagandist?
Are you just blinded by personal emotion, or are you playing two sides against a middle we can’t see?
Signs Grow That Palin May Run
All I have to say to that is, “Here kitty, kitty” . . . . .
It looks as if Palin’s coy flirt act – is she running? Yes, she was wearing the blue again- is paying off- the NYT is paying attention.
It’s too bad the mainstream media falls into Palin’s trap- she gives a bit of herself here and there, goes away, comes back, makes provocative if nebulous statements, retreats, then returns.
To belabor the metaphor, they take the bait. Palin holds most media in disdain, derisively labeling most lame; they want her interview, so they twist like pretzels in an attempt to show they will be fair to her. But Palin requires something akin to propaganda- full context, edit approval, pre screened questions- which journalists give her all too often.
Even when she gets into the presidential race, I suspect Palin will play this game.
We can only hope a few key media types wise up.
Mr. McGinnis this is off topic, but I just read this on Palingates blog and it turns out that the LLC that Palin used to buy her new cottage in AZ was actually in existence in 1996 though it has never been disclosed on her financial forms. From Palingates:

I wonder if the writers and editors for the “New York Times” and other New York publications (i.e. “The New Yorker” and “The New York Review of Books” will now take off their rose-colored glasses and begin to investigate the real Sarah Palin, the Sarah Palin that those of us who have been following Alaskan blogs since the summer of 2008 have come to know so well and to respect so little. The East Coast has got to get over its fascination with the grizzly girl formerly from Alaska and scrutinize her past and her present and what havoc she may bring to the future.
Ugh. You know Sarah just loves all this attention.

What continually amazes me though is how really shallow all the writing is on her.
She is always talked about as if she is such an important player. Then listen to her.
She can barely string coherent sentences together. The woman does no serious interviews. The ones at Fox are softball and never scrutinized. She is despised by so many people!
She quit her job as Governor!
Yet here she is,she’s going to run for president, and people really will vote for her!

Someone of Sarahs caliber should not be in this position period! She isn’t capable of doing the actual tough day to day job! Her history proves that.
I’m preaching to the choir. And both she and her followers are delusional and she could get the Republican nominationation and really do harm to this country. Her supporters are a cult- nothing will change their mine.
I just have to hope that the rest of America is not so foolish.
Well, to quote Slim Pickens in “Blazing Saddles,” “I AM depressed.” I was so hoping she’d just continue on as a commentator, perfecting the art of witless blathering in soundbites. I still can’t figure out how she hopes to mount a successful campaign by refusing to sit for interviews with any member of the press but Sean Hannity and by refusing to debate any of the other candidates, all of whom would clean her clock. Issuing the occasional barbaric yawp from Facebook or Twitter probably won’t cut it.
It is interesting that all this new information (the house, the movie, etc…) is coming out just when Frank Bailey’s book is released, the article in New York magazine is released with Roger Ailes calling Sarah Palin an idiot and Sarah’s facebook writer Rebecca Monsour went rogue on Sarah and said things she should not have said to a stranger who then sold her emails to the media (although the Daily Caller will not admit it).
A google of the Sarah Palin news will reveal that the media is talking about Sarah’s new house, Sarah’s new movie and speculating on Sarah running for the Republican nomination. News that is not favorable to the Queen has been quickly pushed to the back of the room, if you will. All of this without Sarah having to give a single interview.
Sarah plays the media like a finely tuned violin. She may not have a lot of knowledge, ideas or even a clue as to how to construct a proper sentence, but the girl ain’t stupid.
Sarah wins the media battle today. Let us all hope that the media wises up and does not allow her to win the war.
Here’s my fantasy; she refuses to be interviewed by MSM, MSM in turn refuses to report on her.
If she’s up against Pawlenty, Romney and even Huntsman, they’re all former governors who didn’t QUIT.
I believe she’ll attempt a run without ever Officially declaring her candidacy. Note I qualified that statement (attempt to run…). ANYTHING to keep mo’ money, mo’ money, mo’ money coming in from her FAUX NEWZ gig.

They have also changed the $arahPAC banner for a money bomb. Perhaps they don’t understand that PAC funds can not be co-mingled with regular campaign funds?
$arah may have a few thousand willing enablers, but they collectively can’t break the 2 digit IQ barrier. After all, they think calling themselves the Rapid Response Team to fly to leave comments on negative articles re:$arah will change peoples mind about her. Since Disgus follows their comments, the Flying Monkeys are easy to spot, and to fluster.

Even when she got the republican nomination for Gov. & elected Gov., she was not happy. She is a very sick person who learned to use people and once she has them, her attitude changes. I think she is addicted to the chase, the winning, the vanquishing of her perceived enemies. The power high must be very addictive for her and she shows signs of the derangement progressing to a clinical state. I’m amazed how this woman got this far and I think there will be a movie on the How at some point.
Twisted world we live in. Psychotics can kill with impunity and spend their future time in a hospital getting treatment (Loughner). Narcissistic sociopaths can run for president ( I don’t think I need to mention who that is, do I?)
The rest of us are in danger of having our property foreclosed, losing our jobs, and not getting health care.

Can you ever actually “finish” a book on Sarah Palin? I mean, she’s like the Energizer bunny….
There are ways to manipulate internet searches by payment to entities that will push certain stories up in the search stream by performing continuous searches on favored search terms, thereby making other search terms / stories / information regress. In the words of Palin: “Control the media, control the message.”
I know many people want to see her run for the Presidency, but I don’t think she will survive it? First off, let’s go back to her governorship. She may claimed to be a Republican but she taxed the good buddies of the GOP, the oil companies and she gave the money to the citizens of Alaska and build up the coffers. She was more of a socialist than that alleged socialist in the White House and she don’t think her fellow nominees won’t use that against her. She quit her job because she there was millions of dollars awaiting her on the other side. She is going to ripped over and over on this alone. No one likes a quitter. Her husband is not squeaky clean and her kids have been less than angels. Comments about Africa, North-South Korea are going to be brought as to her knowledge of the world. Comedians from David Letterman to Bill Maher are going to have a gold mine of material to nail Palin. Tina Fey is going to earn another Emmy as she out-Palin, Palin.
Finally, Sarah Palin will get what she has wanted since she was thrusted on the national stage in 2008: a one on one with the heavyweight champion, Barack Obama. Since 2008, Sarah Palin has stalked the President hoping that he would pay attention to her. Other than mentioning her to Barbara Walters, Barack Obama has never commented on Palin and being very thin-skinned this irritates her because she wants Obama to notice her. Obama is the star quarterback and Palin is the lead cheerleader but she is mad because he would rather talk to the geeky girl. She would risk everything I just listed just to get a crack at Obama but I don’t believe it. This is a suicide mission. She knows she can’t win. She has skeletons she want to keep buried. Running for president creates opportunity for those who call sell something and anything Palin is worth buying to make news. It will be an interesting 17 months.
I’m pretty much with you on that, KAO. Even if she declares, I can’t see it lasting very long. She will self-destruct. Of course we have seen her self-destructing for some time now. But by declaring, she would continue down this path on a very big stage. There will be meltdowns, hissy fits, unbecoming behavior, family issues and scandals, and stupid comments further revealing her lack of knowledge and true ignorance. Her “C” team of staffers will not be able to provide any cover for her. I just hope it is over before she does as much harm as she did in her short VP candidate tenure in 2008. The media will enjoy the freak side show, of course, and welcome it.

It appears to me that truth just does not matter anymore. She seems to do whatever she wants, say whatever she wants to say and she is not taken out, made irrelevant. I am so depressed about this today: I have a very heavy heart anyway due to the tornados north of me : the deaths and the destruction. Then, having just returned from a long car trip, I am tired but find myself about to experience the threat of like weather. To then read my favorite blogs and see that not only might she really run, but that here may have been money behind her (or money behind someone who then became her) from over 10 years ago (Palingates post); to read and be reminded of the Esther story, her comment (which at the time I picked up on and not much was read into it:) that “if I die, I die,” all of this is so disconcerting. I just don’t think we can stop this. I don’t even know what this is. But I know in my heart that it is evil. Right-wing, conservative, “religious” zealots love a martyr and she is becoming one.

Her former church in Wasilla has ties to several “Christian” groups that believe and preach that Adam is the father of the white race. The other races descended from apes, and have no chance of getting into heaven. They also believe that all of the Jews are not the chosen people – the tribe of Israel actually migrated to Western Europe and became the Celts.
One of her most ardent supporters is a black conservative. I wonder if $arah has told her she has no chance of salvation. She holds the same view of lesbians, so what does she tell Tammy Bruce?
It is no wonder she switched churches when she ran for lieutenant governor. She would not want to EVER have to answer as to what she really believes in. And she was worried about Rev. Wright?
